Check out this more intelligent capitalist recognising the French protests as prophetic and not backward looking. If you read the original article in the International Herald Times, and an earlier one he wrote, there’s an admission that precariousness is how globalisation is experienced by the worker and the French protests are the first to raise a problem that won’t go away. Hmmm, dustbin of history for you Independent editorial writer. Still the International Herald Times guy still doesn’t recognise that the anti-CPE, and other struggles, not only raise the issue but are also where the new social forms will be created.
